About Us:
MiCRA is an applied research centre established with Enterprise Ireland (EI) funding under the Applied Research Enhancement (ARE) scheme. The centre is located in the Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT). The object of the centre is to enable specific Irish industries to increase their competitiveness on the national and international arena by utilising the expertise within academia.
The primary aim of MiCRA is to collaborate with industry to development commercially viable research, to achieve this MiCRA is developing a research profile and can offer expertise within the following subject areas:
Biosensor Design and Development
- Sample delivery systems/microfluidics
- Biosensor functionalisation and Assay development
- Microfabrication of Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)
- Synthesis of novel organic compounds including metallo-organics
